Lou Taylor 'Silence Gesture' Telephone Table

495.00

Did you know that telephone tables, or gossip benches as they are also known, became popular once telephones were no longer limited to being mounted on a wall in the early 20th century? It's surprisingly hard to source stylish examples, so I'm always delighted when I find one - such as this beauty.

This capsule collection with Lou Taylor has been catapulted into the 21st century with her fun and fabulous designs.

Shhhh! Don't tell everyone about this one or they'll all want it! Lou's Silence Gesture design is inspired by the silence icon of the sixties. Fab pattern repeat against speech bubbles, it is something to talk about. Loose reversible cushion. Exclusive design to Elizabeth Rose.

The wooden frame has been fully restored in a matt lacquer and the wooden legs have been sanded back and repainted in matt black.

Chairs fully comply with current fire safety regulations. Scotch-Gard protected. To care for your table gently wipe with damp cloth to remove any surface marks.

Colourway: Blue/Red

As with all my chairs the frames are mid-century and so there are some signs of wear. These are part of the character of the piece. I love this marriage of pre-loved frame and newly upholstered chair with contemporary fabric design.
